Kim Seon-ho Shares Candid Insights into His Life and Career

He's just like us for real — perhaps a little too real.

In a recent YouTube video interview with Harper's Bazaar Korea, South Korean actor Kim Seon-ho opened up about his life and how he spends his leisure time. The video was uploaded on March 31.

The 39-year-old actor revealed, "These days, I just lie down a lot on my days off. When people ask, 'What are you doing?' I send them pictures of my ceiling from different angles."

He elaborated that his busy schedule, which includes filming, returning to the theatre, and various promotional activities, often leaves him with only one or two days to relax.

Seon-ho shared, "I just want to lie down alone and order some delicious food. The last thing I ordered was braised pig trotters and rice cakes, and then I lay down right after eating. I want to cook, but I'm not skilled enough for it to be a relaxing activity."

During the interview, he also discussed his experience at a photoshoot for the fashion magazine, highlighting his fashion sense. In the photos, he is seen wearing a velvety black jacket, unbuttoned halfway down his chest.

He commented, "It was my first time today, but I wasn't wearing anything under that jacket. With the buttons undone this dangerously, you can see everything. It was blatantly sexy."

"I haven't had many experiences with photos that have this kind of vibe. But I'm someone who wants to be sexy," he added, expressing his enjoyment of the photoshoot and his satisfaction with the outfit.

When asked what he found most attractive about himself, he confessed, "I used to be really self-conscious about my dimples. My friends teased me about them when I was a kid. But as I grew up, people kept saying they liked them."

He noted that all the male relatives on his mother's side have dimples and feels "grateful" for having them as well.

Having been active in theatre since 2009, Seon-ho made his screen debut in 2017 with the K-drama "Good Manager." He is well-known for his roles in "Start-Up" (2020) and "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" (2021). Recently, he starred in "Can This Love Be Translated," portraying the lead character Joo Ho-jin, streaming on Netflix.

Emma Bunton and Mel B 'reunited in South Korea'
Emma Bunton and Mel B reunited in November to take part in a reality TV show. The 49-year-old pop star and Mel secretly flew to Seoul, South Korea, in late 2024, when they sang alongside K-pop idols for a TV show. A source told The Sun newspaper: "A Spice Girls reunion is a way off. "So having Emma and Mel back on stage singing a Spice Girls song together might be the closest fans get to a comeback, even though it will be with K-pop stars rather than Geri Horner, Melanie C and Victoria Beckham. "They flew to South Korea at the end of last year and were on set for quite a few days as they battled it out with other pop veterans. "With them alone on board, it is a big show. But there’s also Boy George and loads of other chart-topping stars, which will be enough to encourage people to tune in." The reality show will air on Apple TV and will also feature the likes of Megan Thee Stallion and Psy, the 'Gangnam Style' singer. Meanwhile, Melanie recently revealed that she's ready to "start planning" a Spice Girls reunion. The 51-year-old singer would love to reunite with her bandmates to mark the 30th anniversary of 'Wannabe', the group's 1996 hit single. Melanie told Rebecca Judd On Apple Music 1: "There has to be something befitting of 30 years since ‘Wannabe’. "Once a Spice Girl, always a Spice Girl. We all feel like that, but we now are getting together because we know if we're going to do anything, we have to start planning things to get things right. "We have to start making the plans right now and putting them into action. So fingers crossed."
